Who is Samuel Ivascu?

Hungarian-born, London-based composer and producer Samuel Ivascu creates atmospheric, narrative-driven music for visual media.

His work merges acoustic instrumentation, sound design, and electronic processing to create immersive, texture-driven sonic environments. Drawing on horror and dark fantasy aesthetics evoked through his signature Eastern European harmonic language, his writing prioritizes rhythm, atmosphere, emotional pacing, and evolving structural form.

Initially self-taught, his passion for his craft led him to pursue formal composition training, refining his instinct-led writing through technical and theoretical study. This approach shaped a compositional voice rooted in visual imagination and narrative structure.

His output spans atmospheric composition and hybrid orchestral-electronic writing, with a continued focus on adaptive musical systems and immersive sound design for interactive media.

Selected Work

The work above spans full re-scores of the DOOM and Resident Evil Requiem trailers, cut to picture; a complete audio redesign for Ritual Tides, carried from first texture to final mix; and an integration demo for the Gothic remake, built for adaptive systems rather than linear playback.
